The stance at My Health Reimagined is that increasing the number of Black participants in clinical trials can help shift harmful narratives and reduce racial health gaps. We understand that mistrust in research studies is justified given the historical (and not so historical) harm caused in Black communities. We stand with communities in exploring opportunities for corrective action that address accountability, transparency, and data sovereignty in research studies.
